When we were in Ireland at the beginning of the summer I came across Vaseline’s Lip Therapy Tins, and fell in love. While petroleum does come with a myriad of pluses and negatives I just could not pass up such fantastic packaging. Fortunately for me the product was fantastic! I snapped up the rosey lips followed shortly by the aloe vera. While it seems that the product is only available in the UK it might be worth a special order. Fortunately my best friend lives in the UK and will hopefully keep me well stocked. You can find them here at Shop Londons for $3.97.

Monogram

Yesterday I met with one of our vendor reps from work and she was wearing, a very simple and elegant monogram necklace. I asked her about it and it turns out that her mother had given it to her in high school. So sweet! It is no secret to those who know me that I love monograms, but I have never found the right piece of jewelry that I thought I would wear everyday, and exactly what I wanted. That is until yesterday. This morning I woke up, opened up Pinterest, and ta-da there was the necklace, again! So at this point I think that it is meant to be, anyone out there feel the same?

anniversary time!

It is hard to believe that my three year wedding anniversary is just around the corner. I’m not sure what we are going to be doing this year, we usually keep it very simple. Which is why I really loved this video that my mom sent me.

three potato four

On Sunday I am jumping in the car and driving as fast as I can to the Three Potato Four barn sale outside of Philadelphia. I am so excited to finally get to see in person the fantastically curated items that Janet and Stu have pulled together.

As an added bonus, Somethings Hiding in Here will be there as well with a Forage pop up shop! I just hope that there are still goodies left when I arrive on Sunday. I have a birthday/thinking of you/you are the best gift that I need to get.

I am bringing along the camera with hopes of having some things to share next week. I just hope that remember to use it, sometimes I get overexcited and forget!

Katie, over at Petal and Print, shared a sneak peak of a project that she is working on for a lovely bride in California. I absolutely adore her beautiful flowers. If you are not familiar with them you should go take a gander. There are some ready mades for sale here, but most of Katie’s work is custom, giving the client a chance to get exactly what she wants!

Have you seen any of the fabulous work from Nicholas Andersen and Julie Ho of Confetti System? I am absolutely in love with the tassel garlands that they make. I first noticed them in J. Crew’s windows last fall, and have been dreaming of them ever since. I think that they would be perfect for most any party, and delightful in a child’s room. I think that I might even get a strand and hang it on the wall above our bed.

at last

I have been looking at the Twistband shop for a while now. I put things in my cart, and take them back out again. I tried to find a store near me that might carry them, but alas there were none. Then hoorah!!! While I was in Telluride, last week I stumbled across them in not one store but two! I purchased two hair ties and one headband, and think that I shall never look back. They are so nice on my hair, stylish, and have oh so many options! The only questions is, which ones shall I purchase next? You can pick up this fabulous set of three for $5 here.

When my mom was visiting in November she shared this amazing link with me. At the time it was 2 in the morning and there were still many more hours of work ahead of me. A few days later I went back and looked at it again, loved it, and immediately shared it with all my friends.

I just saw them in a Mc Donald’s commercial. Personally I hate McDonald’s and all fast food for a long list of reasons. However I do not have a problem with artist lending their work to commercials. Many consider this to be selling out, but really, aren’t we all trying to make a living doing what we love? If you are able to be paid, and increase your exposure I say go for it!

Mr. & Mrs.

I found these great mugs by Jonathan Adler at the NYIGS last month. We just received them in the store this week and I can’t get enough of them. The mugs have both Mr. and Mrs. on them so there does not need to be any fighting over who gets what mug on a Sunday morning. I think they make such a cute thinking of you gift!

Lubin

This week was one of my favorite weeks of the year. I traveled to New York for the International Gift show at the Javits center, and saw oh so many amazing things. There were so many great items that I am super excited about and can’t wait to begin receiving in the store. One of my favorites is the perfume line by Lubin of France. Most of the fragrances are unisex which I love! The scents might be a bit unusual, or have a different profile than most Americans are used to but I think that they are a fabulous departure from the expected.

I will immediately be picking up Gin Fizz. Originally made in 1955 for Grace Kelly the fragrance is fresh and named for the then popular Gin Fizz drink. Below is the drink that inspired the fragrance.
