Do you know Fishs Eddy?

Fishs Eddy has been one of my favorite spots to shop for years. Even when my husband was just a boyfriend he would take deep sigh every time I made my way in knowing that he was in for eat least an hour of walking around. The end result would be heavy bags filled with breakable items that now somehow needed to make it through the rest of the day in New York, and back home to Baltimore. Over the years I have gotten better about leaving with only a few things that I love not everything that I love. This way it is always exciting to go back, always in search of the perfect kitchen item. Here are a few of the items that keep me going back.

Have you been to Fishs Eddy? What are your favorite items?

Denim on Denim

My freshman year of college I might have earned the nickname Ms. Denim. Most days you could find me  in my denim jacket. I would pair it with anything from a dress to my favorite pair of jeans. Yes, that is right, I am completely ok with wearing jeans and a denim jacket. While I have not been rocking this look recently I was reminded, and inspired by the great chambray schoolboy blazer that J. Crew just put out. I think this will be a great addition to my spring wardrobe.

Social Proper

Social Proper, what a cute name, is a new paper line by Elizabeth Edie in Baltimore, Maryland. The cards are hand painted and could not be sweeter. Right now the collection is small and very well curated. That being said, I want them all! I really love the pattern cards as they take everyday correspondence up a notch!

Coral & Tusk

Yesterday was my last day at the NYIGF. I spent my last morning walking around the Handmade section and placed some of my favorite orders. Coral & Tusk was one of my favorite finds. I first saw Stephanie and her work at Renegade in Brooklyn last year and was blown away. So I was super excited to find her again at the Gift Show.

Her pillows and wall hangings are all embroidered on 100% linen and have a ton of character. There are so many great designs that I had a hard time narrowing down my selection. Did you see the badges? Yeah, they are that amazing! Embroidered on wool felt they have a steel backing pin to attach them to your favorite jacket, bag, or really anything. I am over the moon about Stephanie and her line, and can’t wait to add a few pieces to my home.

1. Sparklers Pillow, $70 2. Deer with Feather Famed, $70 3. Bison Badge, $20 4. Foxy Badge, $24 5. Bear Cave Pocket Pillow, $104

Lip Love

When we were in Ireland at the beginning of the summer I came across Vaseline’s Lip Therapy Tins, and fell in love. While petroleum does come with a myriad of pluses and negatives I just could not pass up such fantastic packaging. Fortunately for me the product was fantastic! I snapped up the rosey lips followed shortly by the aloe vera. While it seems that the product is only available in the UK it might be worth a special order. Fortunately my best friend lives in the UK and will hopefully keep me well stocked. You can find them here at Shop Londons for $3.97.

Monogram

Yesterday I met with one of our vendor reps from work and she was wearing, a very simple and elegant monogram necklace. I asked her about it and it turns out that her mother had given it to her in high school. So sweet! It is no secret to those who know me that I love monograms, but I have never found the right piece of jewelry that I thought I would wear everyday, and exactly what I wanted. That is until yesterday. This morning I woke up, opened up Pinterest, and ta-da there was the necklace, again! So at this point I think that it is meant to be, anyone out there feel the same?

anniversary time!

It is hard to believe that my three year wedding anniversary is just around the corner. I’m not sure what we are going to be doing this year, we usually keep it very simple. Which is why I really loved this video that my mom sent me.

three potato four

On Sunday I am jumping in the car and driving as fast as I can to the Three Potato Four barn sale outside of Philadelphia. I am so excited to finally get to see in person the fantastically curated items that Janet and Stu have pulled together.

As an added bonus, Somethings Hiding in Here will be there as well with a Forage pop up shop! I just hope that there are still goodies left when I arrive on Sunday. I have a birthday/thinking of you/you are the best gift that I need to get.

I am bringing along the camera with hopes of having some things to share next week. I just hope that remember to use it, sometimes I get overexcited and forget!
