Like they were made for me

For those of you who follow me on Instagram {kohliflick} and Twitter you have probably noticed that my trip this week is kick ass. We have been finding some fantastic things, and as usual I am finding some amazing things for myself. My favorite by far is this silver plated flatware.

Amazing right! It gets better… The knives, a set of spoons, serving fork and one loan fork are all monogrammed with F’s. Like they were made for me.

You also need to know that finding vintage F things is nearly impossible. Literally until this trip I had only found about five decent F’s. Perhaps I am to picky, but really, they are just not out there.

See, not one F, no where, not one. I did manage to find one nice bronze F for our dining room wall which I will share a bit later. I’m off to bed for the night, early morning again tomorrow.

slip one on

This weekend I am going to move all of my winter shoes, coats, sweaters, scarves, gloves and more into the basement for storage. It seems like this could have happened months ago as we never really had winter here in Baltimore. I think that I wore my coat less than five times from October to March. This migration always makes me want to go out and get some new sandals. Love it! Here are my top runners for this year. I do always also buy a few pairs of utility flip flops like Rainbow, and Reef that I replace every year. What types of shoes are you looking for this spring?

Boom Boom Pow

It is true, I love pop music. Anything with a peppy step that I can dance around to is right up my alley. Sadly, I live in a row home and I am sure that my neighbors do not share my love of the pumped up jams. This is where my headphones come into play. Well really the 200th place because I use them all the time.

Over the past year my so-so headphones that came with my iPhone gave out. I needed a small pair that I could use at the gym, in the car, at work, while cleaning the house, and for extended conversations with friends and family. Sadly I tried a few options that did not end well. If I had only known about Urbanears sooner!

Urbanears are produced by a collective in Stockholm, Sweden. They believe that headphone should not only have superior sounds but function as an addition to your wardrobe. Here is where I get really excited! Each season they release new colors, yup colors! No longer are you restricted to matte black, or dingy white. I’m in love with the Medis in Raspberry, and Platan in Indigo. Paired with a fabric cord and microphone remote for my phone I am set.

Here is a bit of what I am listening to these days, encase you were interest.

Happy listening!

Do you know Fishs Eddy?

Fishs Eddy has been one of my favorite spots to shop for years. Even when my husband was just a boyfriend he would take deep sigh every time I made my way in knowing that he was in for eat least an hour of walking around. The end result would be heavy bags filled with breakable items that now somehow needed to make it through the rest of the day in New York, and back home to Baltimore. Over the years I have gotten better about leaving with only a few things that I love not everything that I love. This way it is always exciting to go back, always in search of the perfect kitchen item. Here are a few of the items that keep me going back.

Have you been to Fishs Eddy? What are your favorite items?

Denim on Denim

My freshman year of college I might have earned the nickname Ms. Denim. Most days you could find me  in my denim jacket. I would pair it with anything from a dress to my favorite pair of jeans. Yes, that is right, I am completely ok with wearing jeans and a denim jacket. While I have not been rocking this look recently I was reminded, and inspired by the great chambray schoolboy blazer that J. Crew just put out. I think this will be a great addition to my spring wardrobe.

Monogram

Yesterday I met with one of our vendor reps from work and she was wearing, a very simple and elegant monogram necklace. I asked her about it and it turns out that her mother had given it to her in high school. So sweet! It is no secret to those who know me that I love monograms, but I have never found the right piece of jewelry that I thought I would wear everyday, and exactly what I wanted. That is until yesterday. This morning I woke up, opened up Pinterest, and ta-da there was the necklace, again! So at this point I think that it is meant to be, anyone out there feel the same?

at last

I have been looking at the Twistband shop for a while now. I put things in my cart, and take them back out again. I tried to find a store near me that might carry them, but alas there were none. Then hoorah!!! While I was in Telluride, last week I stumbled across them in not one store but two! I purchased two hair ties and one headband, and think that I shall never look back. They are so nice on my hair, stylish, and have oh so many options! The only questions is, which ones shall I purchase next? You can pick up this fabulous set of three for $5 here.

Kitchen Galore

Today was our registry day at Williams and Sonoma. I think that we were there for about 3 hours. Who knew that there was so much to decide on… I was wiped out by the time that we left. I think that we went a little crazy, well perhaps a lot, but the ladies there were so nice and they kept encouraging us to register for everything that we might ever want, so we did. I am really excited about the yogurt maker, I have wanted one for years. JP does not quite understand why we need one, but I convinced him to just go along with it.
