It’s Political

Recently I came across a box filled with political pins, and buttons belonging to my Great-Grandfather. Immediately I knew that the collection would be a great addition to our home. I was also inspired to do some research on all of the candidates and brush up on some history. It was fun taking a walk through history and learning a bit more political history than the text books in high school shared with me.

spring showers … baby shower

Last weekend I had the pleasure of co-hosting a baby shower for one of the best ladies that I know. My co-hosts and I decided to make the shower a celebration of Katie and less of a baby extravaganza. We chose the color palate from the beautiful floral arrangements that Katie makes for clients at Petal and Print. It was such a nice gathering of ladies and a lovely afternoon. Happy Baby Katie!

Since Katie is an expert florist I decided to skip the cut flowers and make arrangements from clusters of garden flowers. As an added bonus my garden looks great now.

We decided to keep it casual for the drinks and offered champagne, orange juice, limeade and iced tea. It was so nice and simple to fill bottles ahead of time and let people help themselves.
